Meet the Team
Behind the BIG Christmas Raffle is a fantastic small group of volunteers, each bringing their own skills, experience and enthusiasm to help make a difference. We're not event professionals or fundraising experts—just ordinary people who believe that by working together, we can support the Alfaz del Pi Foodbank and our local community.
Here's the front line:
Leading the team is Wendy, whose "it seemed like a good idea at the time" moment grew into the BIG Christmas Raffle. Keeping the whole operation organised is Christine, our amazing Club Secretary and the person who somehow manages to keep everyone else on track as well.
Helping spread the word are Joanne, our social media superstar, and Martin, our very own Tigger, whose boundless enthusiasm and energy keep everyone's spirits high. Gwyneth is always ready to roll up her sleeves and lend a hand wherever she's needed, proving that every successful team relies on people willing to quietly get stuck in. And of course there is Donna from the Alfaz del Pi Foodbank, whose dedication to helping local families inspires us all and reminds us why this raffle matters so much.
And those behind the scenes:
Wendy's partner Dave, the quiet hero, shopping, cooking, dog walking (sometimes) and running errands while Wendy keeps the campaign running.
Looking after every euro are Andy and Ros, our trusted finance team, making sure everything is accurate, transparent and properly accounted for.
Together, we come from different backgrounds, have different talents and plenty of laughs along the way, but we all share one goal: to make this year's BIG Christmas Raffle the biggest and most successful yet, raising as much money as possible to support the Alfaz del Pi Foodbank.
